Jerk Porterhouse Steak

To celebrate Mother's Day we decided to make Mum's favourite... Jerk Marinaded Poterhouse Steak! The sides for this recipe are super simple, they come with fries and your choice of greens, we have gone with asparagus and broccolini.  It's important to get a nice cut of Porterhouse steak, if not make sure you marinade for about 4 hours to let the marinade soak in and do the work.  When cooking the steak, make sure to sear it on a hot grill for a crispy outer layer while keeping the inside juicy and tender.

How to make the perfect Jerk Porterhouse steak

1. Start by marinating your Porterhouse steak in the Little Brixton Jerk Marinade. Let it marinate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

2. Preheat your grill to high heat. Sear the steak on each side for about 4-5 minutes to get a nice crust, longer if you have thicker cuts.

3. Lower the heat to medium and continue cooking the steak until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it's cooked to perfection.

4. IMPORTANT - Let the steak rest for a 5 - 7 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a juicy steak.
